“The purpose of business is to create and keep a customer.” – Peter F. Drucker

I’d like to argue (respectfully, of course) that this is an incomplete statement.

The purpose of business is to leave a legacy – for our customers, employees and the community that we live in. Talking about this is one thing (a lot of companies do). Doing it is something different altogether.

I created babygorillas.com to encourage individuals and small companies to challenge conventional wisdom. To make their own rules. To do something that matters. And most importantly, to touch the lives of others.

Babygorillas.org exists for a special reason. The goal: do big things for charity…one small step at a time. Big donors may always get the press, but there are a lot more small donors in the world. This site is for them.

I’ll announce the first project in late April 2012. Do you have an idea for a charity initiative? If so, please send me your thoughts – I’d love to hear from you.
